The next step in their uncoupling. Gwyneth Paltrow has filed for divorce from her husband Chris Martin after 11 years of marriage, Us Weekly can confirm.

The L.A. County Public Information Office told Us that it has the official 9-page document filed on Monday, April 20.

In the papers obtained by the Associated Press on Tuesday, Paltrow cites irreconcilable differences as the cause of her split from the rocker. She also wrote that the two separated back in May 2013.

The actress herself confirmed this timeline recently to Marie Claire Australia. "Nobody knew what Chris and I had been going through," Paltrow told the mag. "[We went through] a year of quiet separation."

The Oscar-winning actress, 42, and Coldplay rocker, 38, shocked the world last March when they announced they were separating in a joint statement blasted out in a Goop newsletter titled "Conscious Uncoupling."

Paltrow has since noted in numerous interviews that she and Martin remain close friends. "There was nothing dramatic or anything," she told Marie Claire in its February 2015 issue about her split. "We’ve worked really f—ing hard to get to [this] point. But we’re very, very close, and it’s so nice. I feel like it’s, in a way, the relationship we were meant to have."

Since their public announcement, the couple — who share two kids, son Moses, 9, and daughter Apple, 10 — have moved on romantically.

Paltrow and Glee producer Brad Falchuk made their big debut as an item several weeks ago at Robert Downey Jr.'s star-studded 50th birthday party. Meanwhile, Martin has been off-and-on-again with Jennifer Lawrence, whom he saw as recently as this past Easter weekend in NYC.
